About Us

Welcome. Allow me to introduce you to the AfterHours Podcast. Here at AfterHours, we are bar and restaurant lovers. We also love talking about drinking. Scroll down to learn more about the hosts of the AfterHours Podcast and how we got started.

Our Story

Who are we? Why are we creating this podcast? Why am I reading this in Morgan Freeman’s voice? I’ll tell you why. The AfterHours Podcast is the best damn podcast that engages with bar and restaurant owners to discover what it’s like to run your favorite bars and restaurants.

The AfterHours Podcast started with a group of guys in Toledo who wanted to learn more about the local beverage industry. We came to the conclusion that the best way to discover all the behind-the-scene stories of local bars, breweries, and restaurants, would be through a podcast.

The AfterHours crew have been traveling around to capture the stories and experiences of local food and beverage industry experts. We record the conversations, so that you can learn more about the food and beverage community.

I am your host Fransisco DeLaTorre, but most of my friends call me Frankie or Maestro. I am an MBA student at the University of Toledo with a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration. Currently, I am working for WynHouse Software in the business development department for both internal company projects and for outside clients. I am the designated drinker of the cast when going out, usually the guy that goes shot-for-shot with bar management during their shift; and, of course, after hours. Strengths: Networking, drinking, listening to other podcasts, and I’ve been told that I have a good voice for podcasts. Weaknesses: This is my first time hosting a podcast, let’s have fun with it and learn from the experiences of others.

I talk too much. This is why I’ve decided to take the next step and become a voluble (and valuable) host for The After Hours Podcast. I also love drinking, which means the local bar owners know me by my full name and credit card number. I’m also currently getting my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Toledo so that one day, I can create my own digital bar to have a podcast with. We are confident that you’ll have a blast as the team grabs owners of bars wineries and restaurants as well as other leaders in the food industry. Ask me my thoughts on portable TV’s.

Hello everyone… I’m Daniel, the designated grunt! With over 8 years of experience with audio production, I make sure the podcast sounds as crispy as humanly possible. I’m also a backup host for whenever one of the other hosts are too hung over to make it. I’ve created talk shows and podcasts including the Toledo Tonight Show, Straight Out of College, and Bad Mythical Morning. These talk shows were created on my YouTube channel, Man The Dan, which has over 4.6 thousand subscribers and over 1.5 millions views. I also received my media communication bachelors degree back in December 2019. According to the books, I’m your go-to guy to do an interview with. According to my actual self, I’ll do my best to hide my awkward personality and convert it to idiosyncratic prolificacy. I hope you all enjoy our show and look forward to hearing back from you!
